Vendor Participation Requirements

There will be no one on festival grounds handing out propaganda, flyers, religious materials, or any political materials at any time to anyone.  If you are on festival grounds soliciting, you will be asked to remove any items you have and if you refuse to so you will be asked to leave the festival grounds. 


All booths MUST be open from 

  • 10AM to 6PM Saturday
  • 10AM to 5PM Sunday


  • Booth setup may begin on:
    • Thursday Evening
    • Friday after 7AM
    • Saturday Morning before Open
      • Vehicles must be OUT OF PARK by 9:45AM
  • Booth Teardown may not begin before 5PM Sunday
  • Vehicles will NOT be permitted until 6:15PM Saturday or 5:15PM Sunday to allow guests a safe exit from the park.


All Deliveries after 9:45AM Saturday or 9:AM Sunday MUST be made on foot as no vehicles are allowed in the park after those times.


Display and quality requirements are consistent throughout the festival. We are striving to maintain an "old-fashioned" decor.

  • Time Period MUST be 1800 to early 1900
  • Trailers NOT Permitted unless approved by the festival committee
  • ALL modern supplies must be hidden from public view
  • Tables MUST be skirted to the ground with period appropriate materials
  • The Committee reserves the right to require vendors to remove ANY items deemed inappropriate to the festival


  • Poly tarps are NOT to be visible.
    • Poly may be used if properly masked with burlap or other pre-1900 materials.
  •  Tents should be khaki, tan, brown, gray, or white
  • Aluminum poles must be disguised


Drop-cloths, oilcloth, burlap sacks, quilts, or blankets may be used to hide unacceptable items.


  • In the event of rain, goods may be protected by plastic or similar materials
  • Rain gear is acceptable
  • Do NOT spread straw in your area when raining
    • All straw MUST be cleaned up at end-of-day Sunday by the vendor who put it down
  • Plastic tarps are to be removed when rain ends or at the request of your area representative or Festival Official
  • No Refunds will be issued in the event of rain

Tables are to be covered to the ground on all sides using materials such as: broadcloth, calico, gingham, burlap, muslin, canvas, chambray, or quilts.



All coolers must be hidden from the public. Either by hiding them under tables or using acceptable coverings.


No personal music may be allowed at any time during festival hours.


Pioneer style clothing is required for all booth workers, including children, always.

  • Commonly used fabrics include:
    • Flannel
    • Muslin
    • Wool
    • Calico
    • Checked Gingham
    • Denim
    • Cotton
    • Linsey-Woolsey
    • Lines
    • Tow cloth
    • Burlap
    • Fustian
    • No shorts allowed by vendors other than food vendors cooking with grease


  • All fires must be contained and roped off to keep the public from being harmed.
  • No open flames are allowed under a covering of any kind!
  • All fires must burn wood, coal, or charcoal
  • Smoking is not permitted in any tent, canopy, or membrane structures or any areas where hay, straw, sawdust, or any combustible material may be present.
  • ALL BOOTHS must have an approved fire extinguisher.
  • At the end of festival, all pits must be filled and re-sodded.
    • All remaining ashes, coals, partially burned wood, or briquettes must be removed from the festival grounds
      • DO NOT dispose of it in dumpsters or trash barrels.


Bales are available for purchase from the Festival at the Information Booth.

  • Participants are responsible for cleanup if bale breaks

Bales used at the stage and storytelling areas are for guest use as seating.

  • Taking these bales may result in a double fine of the value for the bale, ejection from the festival, or withdrawal of future invitations


Signs should be made of wood, tin, brass, or other period materials

  • Cardboard is NOT acceptable

Signs may be placed on your countertop or nailed to a pole supplied by the participant

  • NO signs are to be attached to festival buildings or trees. The Committee WILL remove these


Exhibited items must be handmade by the participants. 

  • Mass produced items are NOT acceptable such as books, tapes, or CDs.
  • Items may not contain logos or copyrighted designs such as sports teams or characters


Vendors are responsible for collecting and reporting applicable state and federal taxes.


Each vendor is responsible for leaving their area as it was found upon arrival. Areas should be clear of trash, decor, stalks, and straw. Cooking grease should be removed from the fairground. All cardboard boxes must be broken down and disposed of properly.


The festival's insurance carrier requires all vendors and various other activities to provide a certificate of insurance to the committee. Vendors must agree to hold harmless and indemnify the festival from any claim or liability made because of merchandise or products sold at the festival.


First Aid services will be located at the Information Booth


The festival's insurance does not allow pets. Please leave them at home.


There will be a designated lots for "Vendors Only" located by the cattle barns off Evergreen Road and the lot on the corner of Taylor and Evergreen Road.  Please refer to the map for locations. Each vendor will receive one pass that allows parking in the lot.


At NO time is any vendor to cut the fencing. There are ample gates for access to the park. If you cut the fence, there will be a $75 fine for each occurrence.
